Getting Amivox

Q:Will Amivox work on my phone?
A:We are adding support for more phones every week, but there is unfortunately still a chance that your phone does not yet support Amivox.
Q:My phone does not support Amivox, what do I do?
A:Keep on checking! We are constantly adding new phones and yours may be next in line. If you like, you can send us an email to phonesupport@amivox.com with any questions you may have.
Q:How do I get Amivox?
A:There are two ways to get Amivox, both of them very simple: either you get it yourself from www.amivox.com under the "download" tab, or an Amivox user invites you. Either way, you will receive an SMS containing a link to download the program. Just open the link and follow the instructions, and Amivox will be running on your phone in less than a minute!

Setting up Amivox

Q:My phone is not set up for using the Internet. What do I do?
A:Your mobile network operator can set up your phone for internet use. Most of them offer to send them to you as an SMS message:

As soon as you have followed your network operator's instructions for setting up your phone, it will be ready for Amivox!
Q:I have downloaded Amivox, but I don't remember where I saved it. Where could it be?
A:Different phones store by default downloaded applications in different folders.

Using Amivox

Q:How do I log into other communities such as MSN / Gtalk / Yahoo! / AOL?
A:Go to your buddy list, click "Options", then click "MSN, Gtalk, ...". You will then be led through an short sign-in process, after which your contacts will appear on your buddy list -ready for chatting!
Q:What do the different colored head-icons in my buddy list mean?
A:Green head: Online Amivox buddy.
Gray head: Offline Amivox buddy.
Q:How do I invite my friends to join Amivox?
A:Go to your buddy list, click "Options", then click "Add buddy". Enter your friend's name and phone number, and he/she will receive an SMS with a link to download Amivox from. They can then be using Amivox in no time!
